| Morro da Toca - Praia da Pinheira |
|
The Morro da Toca (Cave Hill) separates the De Baixo beach from the De Cima beach.
The lower part of the hill, by the shore, has an extention of aprox. 600mt and a nice trail that connects both beaches by walk within 20 minutes. The trail can be started either from the point of rocks of Praia de Baixo or from the left point of rocks of the Praia de Cima. In any case the walk starts within rocks, later reaching the field where the trail is. Another possible trail is the one that takes to the water reserve of the region (Casan's caixa d'agua), on the top of the Morro da Toca hill. The walk starts on the street next to the church located in Pinheira's main plaza. It takes about 20 minutos to the top and the distance is no more that 500mt. The Caixa d'Agua is located on the highest part of the Pinheira village, where there is a spectacular view of the Lower Maciambú, the Pinheira bay, Ponta do Papagaio, south of Florianópolis and other islands of the region.
